Tabloid output from a machine that still looks like a household all-in-one. The TS9520a prints up to 11 × 17, which is enough for a scrapbook spread, a small poster or an architectural sketch, and it scans up to 11 × 17 too — which the wide-format Epson EcoTank cannot do. Five inks with a separate dye photo black keep the photo quality respectable, and there is a 4.3-inch touchscreen, automatic duplex and two paper sources. It is also the printer most often bought by crafters, which explains the SD slot and the disc-printing tray. Like the other cartridge PIXMAs here, the running cost is the sting: Canon's own ISO figures put the XXL tanks at 600 black pages and about 760 colour, which is over twenty cents for a four-ink page.
