It takes the standard Instax Mini film every disposable Instax camera uses, which is the practical advantage: film is stocked in supermarkets and pharmacies, not just camera shops. The frame is small — credit-card sized with the famous white border — so these end up on fridge doors and in wallets rather than on walls. Fujifilm's app carries the features: frames, collages, a mode that prints a QR code linking to a video, and a strange but popular one that uses the phone's gyroscope to pick a filter. As with the Wide, the print is developed chemically inside the film packet, so there is nothing in the printer to clog, clean or replace.
