A step below the 9000-series OfficeJets and aimed squarely at the household that wants office features without office money: 20 ISO pages a minute in black, a 225-sheet capacity, a 35-sheet feeder, fax, Ethernet, automatic duplex and a 2.7-inch touchscreen for under two hundred dollars. It also does borderless photos, which the 9125e does not. The same HP+ terms apply — enrolment gets extra warranty and Instant Ink months in exchange for a firmware-enforced commitment to Original HP supplies and a permanent internet connection. The 923e black is rated 1,000 pages for about seventy-three dollars, which is seven cents a mono page — nearly twice what the 9000-series models above it cost to run, and the figure worth sitting with on a printer whose supplies are locked in firmware.
